Employment
Jobs are abundantly available in Australia today. Employers all across the country are screaming out for staff. Positions vacant at present exceed 200,000 jobs, many or most of which are being widely advertised.
Australia is enjoying its greatest economic boom ever. Unemployment levels are the lowest for 34 years, at 4.2% and predicted by government and other sources to drop even below that, possibly to 3.5% by 2008. Opportunities abound in the widest range of occupations imaginable. Working conditions are generally very good and favourable to employees, especially where their skills are in exceptionally short supply.
Wages are also very competitive, and with the Australian dollar now being at one of its highest points for more than 20 years, compared to the US $, exchange rates are such as to make it possible for migrants moving to Australia to work and live to be able either to save money or else send much more home than otherwise previously.
Remuneration ranges from the minimum average of around A$45,000 and upwards to A$100,000 plus, and even into the hundreds of thousands in some instances, depending upon types of jobs as well as skills and experience of employees. Engineers, of all kinds, are in particularly high demand, especially in the mining and resources areas. So too are nurses as well as doctors, and just about any and every possible kinds of skills are sought and in great demand. The range of jobs available for which employers are seeking workers follows below (but this will only be a limited list because of the wide range of occupations and employers seeking workers).
To be eligible to travel to Australia to work and therefore also to live requires such people to have visas, for which applications can be made personally via the Internet.
However, because of the many intricacies involved it would often be wise and best to use an accredited migration, who must be registered and certified by the Australian Government to perform such services. Neither CATTICO Limited, nor its Sydney counterparts, including the two directors, are registered migration agents, hence we have formed working alliances with one of the oldest migration firms that specialize on this business. To either of which, or any of their registered agents we would be pleased to refer anyone. Naturally there will be costs and charges involved but the savings made, in time, energy and effort, would usually make it well worthwhile seeking such services.
CATTICO Limited, and especially our Sydney company, can and will be able to assist prospective migrants wanting to work and live in Australia to find suitable employment in keeping with their training, experience and skills. We are willing to offer some initial, limited information and advice, but more formal and progressive work will also need to be charged and paid for by the person or people requesting our services.
